If you do not also need JustSo *PhotoAlbum* 3 (which REQUIRES JustSo *PictureWindow* 3 seen on this page) to generate the thumbnails and create a full gallery, then instead of using JustSo *PictureWindow* 3 seen here, you might prefer a new Extension on our sister site: divaPOPgold. The new Extension automatically opens your images in popup windows without your needing to add the behavior to each thumbnail (or text link or imagemap). Unlike JustSo PictureWindow3, it creates code that is web-standards conformant. It too allows for picture captions, but also allows you to modify the popup page in all aspects for branding or site-identity purposes. And in addition to opening images in a popup window, it also has many other uses, for example automatically opening links to External websites in a popup, like this: Check out divaPOPgold.
This Dreamweaver behavior opens a popup window which can be either full-screen (no matter the screen resolution) or instead "hug" the borders of an image, with or without a margin of your choice of bgcolor or bgimage. The image itself is displayed full-size or sized downwards if needed to fit on lower resolution monitors. So one always gets to see the full image no matter the monitor resolution, with aspect ratio maintained. There is even a new companion Behavior available to preload the fullsize images to speed the user's experience.

Among other advantages of this Behavior is that you can display a nicely formatted image without needing to store a zillion pages on your server, one for each of your images. The popup window for each image is created on-the-fly with your carefully crafted appearance, including control via Cascading Style Sheets!
