Title:
Will be displayed as the thumbnail page's Header if you choose to create
a New doc, or as the Popup Window's title if you choose Current doc AND
the Popup's Title is blank. top
Source
folder:
All the images in this folder will be processed, non-images will not.
No changes are ever made to the originals image files. This Command adds
the option of sorting the images using an alpha/numeric sort algorithm.

Thumbnails:
Click Macromedia's helpbutton (not here, on the real Command screen)
for more info. Selecting "Show filenames" results in each imagefile's
name being displayed with each image on the thumbnail page. top
Put thumbnails
in:
The original Macromedia command automatically placed the thumbnails in
a newly created index file. Indeed you can still choose this option here.
Additionally, now you can choose to place the thumbnails, in their table,
within a Layer on the Current page (Even one that is template-based, as
the Command will - with your explicit permission - update the page's template.)
You may liken this table-of-images in a layer to a flat of plants in a
wheelbarrow. You may remove each plant (image) individually and place
it on the page (with its JustSo Behavior intact) or you can remove the
entire flat of plants (the entire table of images) and place it on your
page (again with all the JustSo behaviors intact). top
Photo:
Select here your desired image format and quality for the fullsize images.
Versions 1.6.2+ now offer the option of using an exact, unaltered,
copy your original fullsize image. This is useful when
your original image is already a compressed jpeg and you wish not
to degrade the quality further. Click Macromedia's helpbutton (on
the real Command screen) for more info on image quality. Versions
1.6.2+ also fix a bug in the Scaling option. top
Put photos
in:
Clever javascript coding allowed the original MM command to offer the
option of placing each full-size image (perhaps scaled) on its own html
page with "previous/home/next" navigation links, along with
the images (new and distorted) name. This command displays the imagenames
in a more user-friendly format. Such navigation pages can be very useful,
but in general has somewhat limited utility, it seems to me. The new option
here is for the image to be placed on a JustSo Picture Window popup. This
does not require a separate html page for each image (which may reduce
site size by hundreds of pages,) although you do lose the navigation system.
Several formatting options are available (see below). Finally, both new
and old Commands also offer the option of simply calling a new browser
window with the image unceremoniously plopped on it (in the upper left
corner of the white background.) top
Thumbnails
and Photos:
A great timesaver: to Allow overwriting of previously created thumbnails
and (possibly scaled) full-size images. Without this, each time Fireworks
attempts to save the image a dialog popups asking permission to overwrite
the existing file. If you are experimenting with different options,
like thumbnail size, or the scaling of the full-size images, you may
want to use the Command repeatedly, and selecting Allow Overwriting
will save you much tedium. top
The
Created Folders:in v1.62+
This new feature makes it far easier to have multiple Albums on one
site. Each album's assets are saved in a subfolder entitled the name
of the document itself (without its file extension of course).top
JustSo
Popups:
In version 1.4.0 we added colorpickers specific for DW3 vs DW4 (PC) and
added a colorpicker for Mac users of DW4 (Mac users of DW3 will have
to enter hex color values manually. (Note that in DW3 on a PC the colorpicker's
icon does not change color.) Notice the Hug Image vs Fullscreen
option. When HugImage is selected, the Popup window bearing the image
will either a) wrap tightly around the image with no margin border
or, b) if margin is set > 0 then it will resize itself to add a
colored border around the image. If Fullscreen is selected then the
Popup window will fill the screen. The Bgcolor picker allows you to
select a websafe color for the border around the image, or you may
manually enter any hex color you choose. top
